A command centre that works without a network.
Unit positions, radio speech as text and task acknowledgements – straight over radio, without internet or mobile networks.
When the network fails, the situational picture must not.
Commercial mobile networks are built for everyday use. When tens of thousands of people gather in one area, or a storm cuts the power, the network jams or goes dark – exactly when the command centre needs information most.
Major events
Crowds at festivals and sports events jam the cell towers. Cloud-based maps and messaging apps stop working.
Dead zones
In searches and in the field, 4G does not reach. Radio does.
Crises and disruption
A widespread power cut or jamming can take out connections over a large area. A base station on backup power keeps units on the map.
From radio to map with no middlemen.
Field units' radios transmit their positions and speech. Your own base station receives them, and the picture appears on the command centre's screens and on the units' phones.
Field unit
An APRS radio sends position and speech. The mobile app sends position, acknowledgements and photos.
Radio link
VHF/UHF channels. No dependence on internet or a network operator.
Base station
Raspberry Pi 5 and 1–4 receivers. Decodes positions, records and transcribes speech locally.
Command centre
Browser dashboard, wall map, operator screen and the units' phones.
How the system works in practice.
One-minute demos of the real screens: the dashboard on a computer, the wall map and an Android phone in the field.
Everything a command centre needs in one view.
Units on the map
Positions, status (free, en route, on scene, alarm) and routes travelled, colour-coded by group.
Maps without a network
National Land Survey of Finland and OpenStreetMap maps are stored on the base station and then work without internet.
DGPS accuracy
A fixed reference station corrects the GPS error in every received position without special equipment.
Radio speech to text
Finnish speech recognition on the base station. The text goes into the log and the audio stays available to play.
Listen at once
Every transmission can be played within seconds. Auto-play plays new transmissions in order.
Multi-channel message centre
Separate channels for e.g. security, traffic and the command centre. Targeted alerts to groups.
Tasks and acknowledgement
Command gives a task from the map; the unit acknowledges it on the phone as received and done.
Photos on markers
A photo taken in the field is attached to a map marker and is seen by everyone at once.
Wall map and operator screen
The map on a big screen, messages and radio traffic in front of the operator. The windows control each other.
Event report
Timeline, messages, tasks with response times, markers and the map in one PDF.
Time machine
The whole picture can be replayed afterwards at up to 300 times real speed.
Your data, your control
No cloud service and no foreign servers. Automatic backups on the base station and a USB stick.
Built for organisations that must always work.
Security companies
Guarding large sites and events with one shared picture.
- Guards and patrols on the map across the whole area
- Tasks, acknowledgements and radio traffic as a written log
- An event report for the client right after the event
Rescue services and volunteer rescue
An independent backup command system for situations where the primary networks are down.
- Works on backup power and in dead zones
- Search teams' routes and coverage on the map
- Radio traffic stored, searchable and playable
Major events
The safety organisation at festivals, sports events and large religious gatherings.
- A jammed mobile network does not affect command
- Stewards, traffic and first aid in the same view
- The same system from event to event with its own settings
Affordable equipment, fast deployment.

Questions and answers
Do we need internet or a mobile network?
No. Positions and speech travel over radio to the base station, and all processing happens there. Internet is only needed for pre-loading maps before the event and for updates. The mobile app needs a connection to the base station over the local or mobile network, and it queues data in dead zones.
Where is the data stored?
All positions, messages, voice recordings and photos are stored on your own base station. Nothing is sent to cloud services or third parties.
Does it work with our current radios?
Positions require an APRS-capable radio. Voice recording and transcription work on ordinary VHF/UHF channels. We review your radio equipment during the demo.
How fast does speech turn into text?
A transmission can be played a few seconds after it ends. The text is typically ready in about half a minute, depending on the base station's load and the chosen speech model. Speech recognition is built for Finnish.
Can the system be used on several screens?
Yes. The map can go on a wall screen and the messages, units and radio traffic on the operator's screen. Windows on the same computer control each other.
